Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 15, 2026
Last Updated: June 7, 2026
AUPHY GT ("we", "us", or "our") respects and protects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information. Please read and understand this policy carefully. By using this App, you agree to our processing of your information in accordance with this policy.
1. Types of Information We Collect
1.1 Device Identifiers and Account Information
When you use the cloud-based teaching features (optional) of this App, we collect:
- User ID: A unique identifier created by you or automatically generated by the system (e.g., account ID, username).
- Device ID: A unique identifier of your mobile device (an identifier generated by the operating system or the Tencent Cloud IM SDK, used for account login and message synchronization only, never used for advertising tracking).
If you choose not to register/login an account, the above information will not be associated with a specific identity but may still be used for statistical purposes in anonymous form.
1.2 Usage Data
- Product Interaction: App launches, button clicks, feature usage duration, guitar practice records, LED effect preferences, etc.
- Other Usage Data: Feature module access frequency, practice mode selection, etc.
1.3 Diagnostic Data
- Crash logs, performance data (e.g., startup time, crash rate) used to improve app stability.
1.4 Locally Stored Data (Not Uploaded)
- Your guitar practice history, growth records, custom light effect presets, etc., are only stored locally on your device. We will not access or collect this data unless you actively use the cloud-based teaching feature (in which case necessary practice data will be synchronized to the server).
- Audio data collected by the microphone (for tuning or voice-controlled effects) is processed locally in real-time only and will never be uploaded to any server.
1.5 Bluetooth Device Information
- When connecting to SCT-86 PRO or other smart guitar devices, we read device model, firmware version, Bluetooth signal strength, etc., solely for establishing connections and controlling functions.
1.6 Location Information
- On some operating systems (e.g., Android 11 and below), location permission is required to scan for Bluetooth devices. Location data is used only for discovering and connecting to Bluetooth guitar devices, and is never recorded, uploaded, or used for any other purpose.
1.7 Device Permissions and Optional Features
To provide full product functionality, this App requests the following permissions when you use the corresponding features. You may revoke these permissions at any time in your system settings without affecting other basic functions:
- Bluetooth (always/background): Used to connect to smart guitar devices such as SCT-86 PRO and to keep the connection alive in the background for responsive interaction.
- Microphone: Used for local tuning, voice-controlled effects, and other real-time processing. Audio data is processed only on the device and is never uploaded to any server.
- Photo Library / Camera (optional): Used to select or capture images for sharing, uploading, or scanning QR codes. Permission is requested only when you actively use the relevant feature.
- Notifications (optional): Used to deliver cloud-based teaching messages, firmware update reminders, etc. You can disable this in your system settings at any time.
- Firmware Update: When a connected device has a new firmware, the App downloads the firmware from our server and prompts you to update. The update process runs locally on the device and does not involve uploading any personal information.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide Core Features: Identify your identity to enable cloud-based teaching interactions and synchronize practice data (if you choose to use remote teaching).
- Analyze and Improve: Aggregate usage data to understand user behavior and optimize interface design, feature layout, and performance.
- Customer Support: Address issues you submit via email or online channels.
- Security: Detect abnormal behavior to prevent fraud or service abuse.
3. Third-Party SDKs and Data Sharing
To implement advanced features such as cloud-based teaching and message synchronization, this App integrates the Tencent Cloud IM SDK (Instant Messaging SDK). This SDK may collect and transmit the following information to Tencent Cloud servers:
- User ID, device ID, network status, chat message content, teaching interaction data.
- For detailed privacy practices of Tencent Cloud IM SDK, please refer to the Tencent Cloud IM Privacy Policy.
Please note: You have the right to choose not to use the "Remote Teaching" feature. If you do not enable this feature, the above data will not be uploaded to the cloud, and all teaching synchronization functions will only occur between local devices.
Except as described above, this App does not integrate any advertising, other data analysis, social sharing, or third-party data collection SDKs. We will not actively sell or transfer your personal information to any third party.
4. Data Storage and Security
We use Tencent Cloud servers located in mainland China to store account data you choose to upload (user ID, device ID, usage data, and teaching information). We employ industry-standard security measures (including encrypted data transmission, access control, etc.) to protect your information. However, please understand that no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be 100% secure.
Locally stored practice records, custom settings, etc., are completely under your control. You can clear this information by uninstalling the App or deleting app data.
5. Your Rights
Under relevant privacy laws, you have the following rights:
- Access and Correct: You can view and modify your account information within the App.
- Delete Data: You can cancel your account at any time, after which we will delete all your cloud data. Local data can be deleted by uninstalling the App or clearing storage space.
- Withdraw Consent: You can disable permissions such as Bluetooth and microphone in system settings, or choose not to use the cloud-based teaching feature. This will not affect your use of basic features (tuner, metronome, local practice).
- Complain: If you have any questions, you can contact us using the contact information below.
6. Minor Protection
As a guitar education product, this App supports users of all ages, including minors. We attach great importance to the protection of minors' personal information and physical and mental health. The following terms are specifically formulated:

To exercise these rights, please contact us using the contact information at the end of this Policy.
- Usage Duration and Habit Development: We recommend that guardians reasonably guide minors in arranging usage time and frequency to develop healthy instrument-learning habits. All content of this App revolves around guitar education and does not contain any content unsuitable for minors to view or use.
